Get your vuvuzelas at the ready!
I love the fact that those things are supposedly new.

I had one 20 years ago, and I think I still own two or three. You couldn't go to a CFL game without hearing them all the time.

I'll admit, though, that the fancy name is an improvement over "plastic trumpet" or "those damned horns".

Nice...I've already done my ESPN picks, but I'll be glad to play some more. I'm also down for the fantasy game Bopp posted a few weeks ago.

Oh, you'll be hearing that, along with "damned" replaced by words far worse.

To allow for game discussion for those who watch matches live.

If you DVR, beware of spoilers.

Should be 3-nil.

Horrawful offsides call.
On the CK?  I saw the replay, but had the sound down.  Assplain that one?  Isn't it impossible to be offsides if the last defender is tucked against the post on the goalline?

Offsides is if an offensive player has no defenders between him and the goal when he does not have the ball, and then he gets involved in the play.... think of cherry picking in hoops.

It was a BS call.  A defender was on the goal line.

I know what offsides is, Jackleg.  It's impossible to watch a hockey game or soccer game without grasping that concept.  My point was, if that Mex. defender was hugging the post on the goalline, there is zero chance for any attacker of ever being offsides......right?  The call makes itself.

O-sides in hockey is different.... and you can be technically o-sides in soccer, but as long as you are not actively involved in the play, a call won't necessarily be made

You're right, the SA player being on the goal line meant o-side was impossible to call on that play
