I think Mods can fix that... But then it would screw up the new nomenclature...

The Dip string is up.  Anyone recall the APHFTMBE origin?
Well, yeah, since I made it... :)

It's from when the show was on WTEM in 2005.  TK had just made a great little jingle and name for Andy Polley's sports updates: Andy Polley's Happy Fun Time Sports Extravaganza! (Now Featuring Story Time with La Sooz).

For reference, here is the sound clip:

I just replaced Sports with Message Board, and voila!

The video was posted by either Joel or I... later in the day, Joel used "When I Dip" in reply... I believe then any number of us replied with "You Dip" and "We Dip...  This was probably when the musical "theme" threads were in their heyday.

I want to say  O:) was the first to start this one.
I wanna say Roy and/or Stevis would use "How Do You Mean," just for normal clarification, or to give someone enough rope to hang themselves... and then I believe one year (on ash wednesday), Pen was feeling rather liturgical and started replying with multiple "And Also With You"'s

The new nomenclature stinks on ice!  It's much easier to type :icon_junior: than  :icon_junior: .

Thanks for these.  At this point I am just trying to get the formatting down.

If anyone would like to write up explanations for the less obvious icons, please feel free and I'll incorporate your text in the main FAQ thread.

For the Icons, how much detail would you all like for each entry?
Should I simply link to the Wiki page or website for each broadcaster or would you prefer a short (APHFTMBE related) biography?

Background stories for the less obvious icons would be appreciated.

I made sure to place  :icon_chef: and  :icon_cocktail: next to each other because they are in love and I'm such a romantic.

[mole] is under Code... The origin of this was a request (made by a dashingly handsome and impossibly intelligent individual) for an icon representing the DCRTV guy.

That asshat has mostly dropped off of our radar.... except for ToddBott, who posts the [mole]'s crapahoola regularly.

My point being that [mole] was originally a "journalist" but is now the equivalent of name calling.  Not sure where it belongs.

I'd like to know the story around how the icon was granted and by who.  Was it a sign of love or ball breaking?  Was there a thing/post that warranted the icon?  Was the board in an iconic phase?

When I have time I'll try and write up what I know.

And Kuke feel free to delete my posts in the FAQ after you've used the info.

EDIT: I see you are one step ahead.  Good show!

I'm thinking we also need a chart delineating everyone's likes and dislikes, e.g., soccer, cricket, various loafs.  I'll start working on a questionnaire tonight.  Any suggestions?

I'll make mine easy -- Likes: soccer, baseball, cricket and 11 people in the world.
