It should be noted... I'm looking to acquire the old Pac Man board game if anyone has one they want to unload.

Waiting under the Christmas tree this year will be a few oldies but goodies:

Survive: Escape from Atlantis

Roborally

Also under the tree:

Forbidden Island

We don't normally do co-op games but it would be interesting to see how Helen deals with that genre.

Also Lords of Scotland and Glen More, although we decided not to wait until Christmas to open up Glen More.

Judy is the worst keeper of secrets in the world:  three times yesterday she said "we should play RoboRally this weekend!" despite my repeated response that we did not own that game.  She keeps forgetting that technically, the gift has not yet been given.

I wasn't planning on ordering anything else, but Tanga was offering Isla Dorada at a pretty good price.  I guess one more game under the tree won't hurt, although Helen may not be persuaded that all of these "gifts," so-called, are actually for her.  After all, she wanted a Wii, and the "My Babysitter's a Vampire" movie on DVD.

I must say I have not heard of any of these games, let alone played them.

Well, the last three are only a year old, or less.  Survive has been around for almost 30 years and was at one point a Parker Brothers title

But now Ponygeddon has commenced on BGG, and the ratings should be dropping quickly.  Some new microbadges being issued, which is always nice.

"We need to buy this," said Helen as we played the demo copy of Ubongo Extreme.  She was right, we did need to buy it, especially considering that the FLGS had it deeply discounted.  Frustrating but fun.

Who was it who a few years back explained to me the history of the cod fisheries off of Ireland ?  Was that Jordan?  I think it was.

Who knew that they made a board game based on the subject called Cod Wars?

Helen has apparently developed a great enthusiasm for chess, thanks to someone in afterschool childcare teaching her the rudiments on the game.

Come to find out, we don't have a chess board or a chess set anywheres in the house.  I'm not sure quite how this happened...
