Re: iOS 4

I'm upgrading my 3G when I give it to a friend Thursday...  This is taking forever. Methinks the 4.0 upgrade was never meant for the 3G, but they shoehorned it in.

the update for me took about 20 minutes. The restoring apps was also quick. What's taking time is the music/videos

Re: iOS 4

About an hour for me too.  Making folders is much easier through iTunes, and I'm obsessed with closing apps on the dock vs. letting them run.

Re: iOS 4

Finally going.  My backup versions got confused.

I really love the Folders feature. Can put more of the apps I use most on the first page.

And The All Inboxes feature is awesome.  Much easier than checking each mailbox.

What the hell has taken me so long then? it took 90 minutes just to d/l the fucking upgrade.
Hmmm,. that's odd....

BTW, if you have an iPhone 3G, don't click on Update.  Click on Restore. Updating will take WAY too long (Hence why it took me 5 hours tonight). By clicking on Restore, the process only took about an hour, with music and app restoring.

Whole process (updating iTunes, d/l update, install, restore) = ~2.5 hours.
I only had a small playlist and 2 movies for about 3GB of data.  Was your phone full?

My phone is close to full and didn't take long to finish. Maybe 30-45 minutes after the update

Fairly self-explanatory, and done through iTunes.
I should have only minimal trouble figuring it out then.  :icon_magnum: is not quite as tech savy as some.

Re: iOS 4

Cool thing I just noticed:  All of my iPhone photos have been geotagged, and you can see them based on pins on a Google map.

Sweet.

Re: iOS 4

Support for Apple Bluetooth keyboards?  Really?  Who would use a keyboard with their phone?
