Czaban has a morning show?
And I've actually been listening to it this week since I can't take any more NPR pledge drives.  And let's face it, how often can one listen to the same stories over and over again on WTOP...

They need to find a better way to raise money because I did the same damn thing.  Also, I suspect it driven by the demographic of their donors, but I swear every 3rd time I tune into WAMU it's a story about the Middle East.  Kinda like the Jayhawks on XM60.  Enough already!

I don't get the idea that my car and internet version get most but not all of the same channels.  I'm looking at you 208.  I get better reception for Czaban's morning show on XM than over the air on Danny's crappy 2d AM channel.
Limited satellite bandwidth, so they have internet-only offerings, mostly stations that got kicked off satellite for one reason or another.

Actually, 208 is satellite.  The internet interface skips from 150 to 300

Have you ever listened to NPR on XM? Do they have pledge drives as well?
I think the local stations do the fundraiseing to pay for the programming they buy from NPR.  I occasionally tune in to 121/122 on the weekend when confronted with Click/Clack or Splendid Table.

Most of those channels are play-by-play or traffic stations they won't carry online, either because of contractual restrictions or lack of interest.

Friggin XM60, Ryan Adams "Chains of Love" is not a new release.  I heard it on this same channel at least 6 months ago, if not before.
