Tony opens the show by talking with Michael about the dramatic end to the tournament at Riviera. Michael Wilbon calls in to talk about that and the Australian Open, Liz Clarke of the Washington Post phones in to give her thoughts on Naomi Osaka and Novak Djokovic, and Tony closes out the show by opening up the Mailbag.

"Dramatic end to the tournament at Riviera"

I didn't think they played tennis at Riviera. Maybe they have some private courts.

This show consistently tries to piss off what used to be a pretty loyal core of listeners. Not sure what that business model is doing for their bottom line.

That first segment was....something. Ten minutes of golf talk topped off by Michael's Peloton brag

A couple of minutes about the ending would be fine. TK's a golfer (sort of, I guess) and a fan. But holy-crap-a-hoola, we really don't need an anorak's pedantic droning. Jesus wept...
That‘s the problem. No one cares about the minutia. If you want to go deeper about the majors, fine (which is why I’m ok with the tennis talk). But who exactly is the audience for the Riviera tournament? It’s not interesting or compelling. It’s kind of pathetic really.
