Tony opens the show by talking to Steve Sands of the Golf Channel about the return of the PGA. Meet The Press Host Chuck Todd calls in to talk about the battle between foxes, rabbits and chipmunks that he sees outside his window every day, and he talks about how the protests over the death of George Floyd may impact the election. Jeanne McManus calls in to catch up with Tony and she tries to help him figure out why he's lost so much weight during the lockdown, and Tony closes out the show by opening up the Mailbag.

Songs : Val McCallum "Tokyo Girl" ; "Charlie's Coal"

1. Golf. No. C'mon.

2. Chuck Todd. No. At this point, does anyone really think Chuck Todd provides insight?

3. Jeannie. Probably.
I thought Chuck Todd’s river/erosion analogy was quite apt. But who knows what’s going to happen in five months. Look at what we went through in the past five months: Impeachment, people freaking out that World War III would start over Iran (remember that?), Covid-19 and, now, police brutality/racism. Trump should lose to Biden but the way this year has gone, I would not be shocked if something crazy happened.

I’m worried come the end of the year we are going to be longing for the good old days of June the ways things have been going.

He is a dreadful interviewer. Dreadful. People notice when he asks difficult questions, because it's rare. More difficult? When he asks a goddamned follow-up question when the response is pablum. More often, it's "Moving along . . . "
I will say I saw him interview Conway and she threw out that "alternative facts" line. He was so surprised at that he didn't do anything and just moved along. He's not a great interviewer.
