Tony opens the show by talking about the return of sports and what it will mean (and whether it will work), and also about some pesky squirrels attacking his tomato plants. Richard Justice of MLB.com calls in to talk about how baseball has fared with dealing with COVID as they prepare to open their season, and Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports phones in to talk about how things are proceeding with the NFL's preparations for training camo and the upcoming season, and Tony closes out the show by opening up the Mailbag.

Songs : "The Little Things" written by Carin Fradin performed by Jim Cristaldi ; "The Chase" Suburban Key Party

Richie: If the Nats bullpen blows a lead in the first game, can you do a special podcast on Friday?

I would make the same request if the team is 2-5 after the first week.

The email about Charles Chips: Charlaps is still a known dairy and ice cream name in the Buffalo area. I don't remember who delivered milk to our house, as it stopped when I was still really young, but we definitely bought Charlaps from machines. Very minor and unimportant David Aldridge moment.

TK's never been able to separate the football mentality -- where every game is the apocalypse -- from baseball.

FYI, on PTI the other night, they paid tribute to Mark "The Bird" Fidrych, and referred to him being a victim of massive overuse his rookie year. Who was the manager on that Tigers team?

Why, it was Ralph Houk, who TK has previously cited as the man who taught him all about baseball. Somehow, that didn't come up on PTI.
