Like I said, I'm technologically incompetent.  Doesn't matter where or how I try to access the podcast, I get the same error message displayed above.
Might want to upgrade to IE7, since both look fine to me as well

Does this work when you try to play?

Both the official feed and the more "interesting" one seem to have an aversion to Firefox. However both work fine in IE
You may have to download a plug in for it to work in Firefox.  It won't pop up in a new window, but will alert you in the player window with a link/prompt to get some plug in...which you will have to do manually.

Ive had the same problem with iTunes for months. Its a bit tragic on their part, since I expect a great, great many listeners listen via podcast, even those in DC.

I also cant get the individual episodes to play on the 3WT site, though I could yesterday.

I have these problems of Mac and PC, Safari and IE7

I am using Firefox.  I don't think I have a special plug in.  I can go to

http://icestream.bonnint.net/dc/3wt/tony/podcast.php

and right click the show and it will dl to my hd.

You can also subscribe through itunes, but I haven't done that.
Clicking the link for me loads the file in to My Yahoo, then plays via Winamp.  I can also load the podcast directly into Winamp no problem.  What I'm trying to say is Fuck Apple and Fuck ITunes.  Piece of shit product that's more trouble than it's worth.  Go with Winamp or VLC media player....both will load and archive the 3WT feed.

dvair, yes, I am able to get the show to work from the link you have on your post.  Can't seem to get it to work otherwise, even after upgrading to IE 7.0.  Any suggestions?

That link is just the mp3 file that is posted on the 3WT podcast page.  I did nothing special with it.

In IE7 you can setup that page as a RSS feed and get the updates that way.

I must be old school.  I don't use a browser to do the job of an aggregator.  Why do people use browsers?  I'm just askin'....

No problem getting the podcast on iTunes or Winamp at home or at work.  Now if only the IT guys at work will allow the use of Firefox again.  :icon_wtf:  I hate IE.

Here's my problem:  it looks as if the link wants to stream using port 8000:

http://icestream.bonnint.net:8000/dc/3w ... 080117.mp3

I can right click and download these files at home, but not at work; I'm guessing it's because my workplace won't let traffic through on that port.

Is there anyway to get the people posting the podcasts to host the files the same as Wash Post used to?  The XML aggregator page is not what I'm having trouble with.

The only reason for me to grab the podcast at all is so I can listen to Tony on my drive home.  If I can't get it at work, I probably will become a former listener. :(

I agree this is def. a port problem.  I had no issues d/l at home.  Please host the way the Wash Post did!!!

Couldn't you just remove the port for the time being?  or will the link not work?
he, most likely being at work, has no control over which ports are open or closed.
