Dress up for dinner?  :icon_magnum: dresses up for nobody.
I won't go to any event where I have to "dress up". It means that I miss some events but I think that suits & ties and especially tuxedos/dinner suits look absolutely stupid.

In fact I've never owned or even worn a suit in my life and don't own a tie.

I have 13 or 14 suits, tons of ties, and tons of shirts.

Men have to wear a tie to be admitted to the new Nationals park, DC being such a stuffy town. ;D

I love dressing up.  Hell, I usually wear a shirt and jacket (w/jeans) on casual Friday (although not today, cuz I'm going to work out after work, so I've got warm up pants and a t-shirt on.)

I don't own a suit, and I only wear a tie if it's absolutely, positively necessary.  So, I try to avoid dressing up if at all possible.
