I've been listening to Phil Hawes for years. I finally decided to trek to Bethesda to check out his store. There ain't much there. I guess if you just want to get fitted and have him order the clubs, maybe that's all you need. Pretty bare bones operation.
They're the same set that I had when I first started playing golf at age 12 (25 years ago now). I've tried playing with the peripheral weighted ones but just can't get on with them. I like to change the angle of the clubface and carve the ball around. you can only really do that with blades.
Eh...I've seen some nice golf shoes, but since I play one round every two-three years, they don't really do much for me. I just can't get excited enough about them, because I'm not going to be able to show them off enought to suit me.
