I've been listening to Phil Hawes for years.  I finally decided to trek to Bethesda to check out his store.  There ain't much there.  I guess if you just want to get fitted and have him order the clubs, maybe that's all you need.  Pretty bare bones operation.
I went in to his place on a Saturday (it's near my house) to look around.  I picked up a few expensive clubs.  He came over and suggested I come back during the week so he could spend some time and let me know what I need.  He spent about a half hour working with me.  Instead of directing me to a new set, he hooked me up with a used set of Pings, which he made little $$$ on, but he knows where I'm coming when I'm ready to spend $$$$$$$.

I have a reader?  Nice...although I forgot to post a trip report from Sunday.
Seeing as how I'm the only other person who does karaoke on the board, it would stand to reason that I read your blog.

A fair point.  Good to have you along for the ride.

I live much closer to Washington Golf center on 395, which is a vastly different place.  Every type of golf ball, gold shoe, putter, clubs--the whole schmear.  Not sure it's better, but certainly bigger.

OK people, field trip time to the Improv.  Who is with me?
Well, if I actually lived in the DC/MD area, I would definitely attend.  Alas, I don't, so you'll have to stalk Nigel on your own.

So Mr. Tony wants to donate his clubs to First Tee of DC?  He'll have to drop them off at Langston Golf Course, which ain't the best part of town.  Funny, though, I'd be less surprised to see TK there than Wilbon.

The first annual School Without Walls (yes, a finely run DC Public School) golf tournament on Friday April 11th.

That's the worst rule of marriage.  Everything else is worth it,  but sometimes I miss my useless stuff.  At least I still have my :icon_lockdown: collection...
