Hi friends...
Welcome to the, what, 20th year of this site? 21? Can we drink yet? I don't know.
Wanted to give some updates as to me, as I've been away for quite some time.
In August of 2025 my position at my employer was eliminated. I have been efforting to get a new job, but after 7 months.... I've applied to over 300 positions, I've had 7 interviews, and none have progressed to the offer stage. To say that this has been disheartening is an understatement.
In better news... In September of 2025, my wife Cassi was informed that they found a living donor to give her a kidney. The procedure was done in December 2025 at Duke Medical Center in North Carolina, and she's been taking to it well. We were down in NC for about 3 months before we returned back home in NY. She is currently back to work.
All of this is to say... I'm tired. I can understand if you don't want to donate to keep this site alive. I get it. In lieu of a donation, if you know of any business or company that could use a senior-level web developer, I would appreciate it even more than a donation, because I don't know what else to do. I'm in the middle of training to get some new skills. But I'd really just want to be working again.
I also decided to do a flat donation for the year rather than monthly. Just in case I forget to post it monthly.
