Hi kids.

Google sent me a lovely email yesterday with the following subject header.

"Nonsecure Collection of Passwords will trigger warnings in Chrome 56 for http://www.thiswebsitestinks.com/"

What does this mean? Well, the gist is that Google wants to keep your info secure. The best way to do that is to serve your pages over a secure protocol, or HTTPS. This means the site needed to purchase a secure certificate. By doing so, the site is considered secure and stays high atop Google's search rankings. Also, it means you won't see pesky errors and warnings when you log in. There is also the added benefit of making it harder for this site to be hacked and warning you of nefarious links.

What does this mean for you? Not much, other than a padlock showing on the URL bar now. But it also means you can breathe a little easier when you're entering your login info here.

As of right now, I still have to secure the main sections of this site, but the message board is now fully secure.

Because of these new things, costs go up. I appreciate the donations over the past few years to keep the lights on here. I may be increasing the ask for these services. I do appreciate the support you've given this site and I plan on keeping it open as long as you want to be here.

Thanks again,
Bill

Womb Wrecker?

These noobs get custom statuses? (statusi??)
You don't even want to know the horrors Creasy Bear's mouth had to endure to unlock the status achievement from Bill. And don't even get me started on the avatars...poor CB will never be the same.
