Long time no see.
To say the last few months have been eventful has been an understatement, and my absentee landlord moniker is even more apt.
To catch you up, in August, after 19 years, my position at my employer was eliminated. While I have received a severance, finding a new job has been a nightmare. Gotta love AI, right?
In good news, my wife Cassi, who was diagnosed with FSGS in April 2023 and was suffering Stage 5 kidney failure and doing routine dialysis, was able to find a living donor! We're traveling to North Carolina next month for the kidney transplant and will be living down there for at least the next 3 months.
Instead of posting a normal monthly call of donations, I'm going to post her GoFundMe that her friends have set up. With her being out of work for at least 3 months and my consistent search for a new job, being able to cover expenses will be of most importance.
